In many cases, you don't pay us directly. We often work “pro bono publico (which means “for the good of the public”) or under “private attorney general” laws, where the other side has to pay our legal bills if we win. With that said, we do represent some paying clients, particularly in cases that fall outside the pro bono or private attorney general categories.
We handle a fairly wide array of cases, and some of our lawyers have sub-specialities not listed on this site. Get in touch—if we can’t handle the case, we can most likely connect you to someone who can.
We’ve assembled a glossary of common legal terms that our clients may need, so they don’t HAVE TO rely on us. You can visit it here. If there’s something not yet on our list, feel free to email or submit a form asking us to add it!
We primarily work in New York, largely within the five boroughs of New York City. However, we have attorneys admitted in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
